Flights are available at a great frequency through the morning and early evening between New Delhi and Srinagar. Q. Is it safe to travel at night in Srinagar? A. You had better avoid it if possible because some sections could be off-limits post sundown for security reasons, and there could be police checking on some routes. Landslides pose a threat to nighttime travel. It is better to travel around in the daytime when the visibility is much better, and the roads open. Q. What are the timings of the local buses around in Srinagar? A. The state transport buses ply between 05:00 am to 06:00 pm. The late night buses are usually privately-operated Volvo coaches. Q. Are there enough ATMs in Srinagar or do I need to carry more cash on my travels? A. There are several ATMs in Srinagar, and you do not have to rely on cash alone. But in Gulmarg and Pahalgam, it could be a touch difficult to chance upon frequent ATMs. So, before leaving Srinagar you are advised to carry sufficient cash for your trip further to these remoter hilly districts. The houseboat at Dal is going to be your romantic abode for the first night of your Kashmir package. After check-in at the houseboat, you can relax for a while. Later in the evening, proceed for a shikara ride in Dal lake .

After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Jammu & Kashmir and also called Meadow of Flowers. It has the world’s highest golf course (World’s Highest) and is also famous for Gondola ride, winter sports skiing etc. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Evening is free for leisure.

The day is available for leisure activities such as golf, nature walks, bird watching , and pony rides. After Breakfast, drive to Pahalgam. Located at 2,133 mts, it is also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker's Paradise’. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Enroute visit Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lots of rice fields. Arrive at Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent views of mountains.

Pahalgam Sightseeing and Exploration

After breakfast, depart for an excursion trip to Chandanwadi (on your own), the starting point of Amarnath Yatra & Betab valley (on your own). Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed, as a major part of the movie was shot here.

Post lunch (on your own) or as time permits, proceed for a trip to Aru Valley (on your own). Aru Valley is a tourist spot located about 11 km from Pahalgam. Noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river.

Pahalgam to Srinagar- Shopping (100 Km / Approx. 3½ Hour Drive)

After buffet breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar. On arrival, check in to the Hotel. Evening is free for leisure or you can spend a full day shopping. Kashmir is not just about the stunning scenic views but also known for its handicrafts and Kashmiri gift items. Kashmiri artwork is known worldwide for its unique artistic work and the grandeur. Whenever you visit a place, you always pick something that is unique and for which the place is famous for. You take that thing as a memory of that place. Hence, shopping becomes an essential part of your trip. If you wish to shortlist what to buy in Srinagar , here are some of the famous items one can pick. Pashmina Shawls, Kashmiri Tea, Carpets, Walnut wood products, Spices, Popular Fruits, Dry fruits, Traditional Jewelry, Paper Mache Products, Kashmir Willow Bats Etc.

Srinagar – Excursion to Sonmarg (90 Kms / Approx 03 Hours Drive- One Way)

• Thajiwas Glacier

After breakfast at the houseboat/hotel, leave for a day excursion to Sonmarg , which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way, you stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to Sonamarg located at 2690 Mtrs (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier (on Pony) where snow remains round the year.

In the evening, return to Srinagar for overnight stay at the hotel.

Srinagar – Excursion to Yusmarg (50 Kms / Approx 02 Hours Drive- One Way)

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion tour to Yusmarg . Yusmarg is an idyllic meadow ideal for a day's picnic or a short walk along the mighty 'Doodh Ganga' river, and derives its name from its milk white foam. Picnic on its banks or simply doze in the sun. A starting point for many peaks like 'Trata Kutti' and 'Sang-safed' - this is a trekkers base. In the evening, return to Srinagar. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Srinagar Airport Drop

• Departure Transfer

Begin the last day of your tour package for Kashmir with a delish breakfast in your hotel at Srinagar. Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the Srinagar Airport. Board your flight for the respective hub with memorable experiences of Tour My India.
