Antigua All-Inclusive Resorts FAQs

The nightly rate at all-inclusive resorts in Antigua typically includes a range of amenities and services for a comprehensive vacation experience, such as unlimited food and beverages and premium liquors. Recreational activities like water sports, access to fitness facilities, and beach relaxation are often part of the package. Some resorts, like Sandals Grande Antigua, also include scuba diving and transfers from the airport in their offerings.

The best side of Antigua depends largely on what you’re looking for in your vacation. If you’re interested in luxury resorts, tranquil beaches, and high-end restaurants, then the west coast of Antigua, particularly the areas around Jolly Harbour and Sandals Grande Antigua, is ideal. On the other hand, the south coast, especially around English Harbour, is renowned for its historic sites and sailing culture. The east coast, while less developed, offers a more secluded experience with opportunities for eco-tourism.

The best months to visit Antigua are typically between January and April—high tourist season—when temperatures are comfortable and sunshine is abundant. However, visiting between the end of November and the beginning of December can also be delightful, as the rain during this period freshens the island’s landscapes.

Antigua’s beautiful beaches can’t be beat. And we think these eight top-rated, best-of-the-best Antigua all-inclusive resorts offer one of the best ways to soak up the beauty of hospitality of this warm island nation.

Lori and I hope this guide has helped you on your way to booking your next big beach vacation in the Caribbean. Or at least got you pointed in the right direction!

Referred to as Wadadli by the natives, Antigua is a quaint island found in the West Indies, nestled next to Barbuda in the beautiful and tranquil waters of the Caribbean. Embarking on an all inclusive Antigua vacation allows you to immerse yourself in the laid back atmosphere found in the candy-colored villages, where you will notice the residents have a slight English accent. The calming blue water and sheltered bays offer a little taste of paradise in your own secluded refuge.

Relax on the sandy shore while watching the frigates fly overhead, which outnumber the residents almost two to one. With 365 beaches, there is no reason to visit the same location twice during your vacation to this tropical paradise. Regardless of whether you choose a five star resort, or a simple room on the shore, you will love the view offered from the beach. Blue waters as far as the eye can see and endless water top restaurants make this a vacation to remember.

If you’re looking for action,  Antigua all inclusive resorts  are the place to be. The harbor is dotted with yachts and endless honeymooners frolicking in the surf. For those who want to take some time away from all the action, there are a number of exciting attractions to explore. From Shirley Heights, a military lookout and the only working Georgian dockyard in the world, where there are quite a few things to see and explore.

The highest point in Antigua, Mount Obama, beckons visitors to her summit. Take a day to visit Devil’s Bridge and the nearby blowhole also an attraction you will not soon forget. This amazing site is created by the surfs of the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean colliding. In addition to amazing natural sites, there are also endless street vendors and market shops where you can purchase unique souvenirs to take home a piece of the islands.

So, if you’re ready to experience a taste of the tropics, plan your next getaway to an Antigua all inclusive resort and get ready to explore, relax, and enjoy.

Getting There

Entry requirements.

All travelers between the U.S. and the Caribbean will be required to carry passports beginning January 1, 2007 as mandated by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. We encourage you to begin the passport application processes early to avoid unexpected delays. Travelers should allow a minimum of six weeks between their application submission and receipt of passport. Passports can be expedited for an additional fee. All visits to Antigua require roundtrip airfare and can be no longer than six months without a Visa.

Foreign residents of the United States and all other foreign visitors not holding a US Passport must contact the appropriate government authorities to determine the entry and visa requirements.

Departure Tax

Antigua has a $20 per person departure tax which is subject to change.

What to Wear

Light shirts and shorts are best suited for the warm year-round weather and swimwear should be kept near the beach and pool areas. Some restaurants may require jackets for men and dresses for ladies. Resort restaurants typically require a collared shirt and long pants for men and island casual for ladies when dining in the evening.

Banks & Currency

The official currency of Antigua is the Eastern Caribbean dollar, which currently has an exchange rate of 2.67. The U.S. dollar, as well as traveler’s checks and major credit cards, are accepted everywhere. Banks are open throughout the week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Remember to drive on the left side of the road when visiting Antigua. A valid driver’s license, either national or international, and a permit issued from Antigua is required to drive on the island. The temporary permit is valid for three months and costs $20. Vehicle rental agencies can assist in obtaining the permit. Driving in the islands is best left to professional taxis or transportation provided by the all inclusive Antigua resort.

Calls to the U.S. are easy in Antigua as most hotels offer direct U.S. calling.

Some of Antigua is powered with 110 volt outlets while the remaining is 220 volts. The majority of hotels feature both voltages.

The water in Antigua is generally safe to drink but a collection of bottled waters is also available for those wanting an alternative.

All visitors traveling by air to Antigua will arrive and depart through the V.C. Bird International Airport. Both direct flights and connections through St. Martin and San Juan are available from North America and there are several weekly flights from Europe.

Any animal imported into Antigua must have a permit from the Chief Veterinary Officer before arrival. The animal must be micro-chipped and tested for Rabies Titer by an approved laboratory. Results of the tests should be forwarded to:

The Acting Chief Veterinary Officer PO Box 1282 St. Johns, Antigua Tel/Fax: (268) 460-1759

Antigua is on Atlantic Standard Time.

Protected by a near continuous wall of coral reef, Antigua encompasses 108 square miles of white sand beaches, verdant plains and mountainous regions. The Island has an intricate coastline arrayed with secluded coves. And uninhabited beaches are a regular and welcoming discovery.

Antigua enjoys a pleasant year-round temperature ranging from the mid-70’s to the mid-80’s and has an average rainfall of only 45-inches. Trade winds blow constantly and the low humidity seems to keep everything just right.

The official language of Antigua is English intermingled with local dialect.

With a British-style parliamentary, Antigua is a constitutional monarchy represented by an appointed Governor General as the head of state. The government consists of three branches: a legislative, executive and judicial branch.

The history of Antigua is far reaching, with evidence of civilization ranging as far back as 2400 B.C. Natives from nearby islands flourished and diminished on the island but it was eventually controlled by the fierce Caribs, an aggressive people who spanned most of the region and subjugated other cultures by force. The Caribs eventually fell victim to English colonization, which led to slavery and mass production of sugar plantations. Remnants of Antigua’s diverse history can be seen in ancient tools, ruined fortifications, shipwrecks on the reef and the perfectly-restored structures of English Harbourtown.

Cultural Experience

Immerse yourself in the Antiguan culture at the annual 10-day carnival, held each summer on the island. Expect an overwhelming collage of colors, pageants, talent shows and music at this anticipated festival. The carnival is just a culmination of the jovial culture seen year-round, and even a short stay will have you dancing to calypso tunes. Destination information is subject to change without prior notice.

Antigua’s 365 beautiful beaches offer a private paradise for every day of the year. White sands, swaying palms and clear waters are found at the many popular and secluded beaches around the island. Chart a voyage to your own cove or enjoy the modern comforts of your beachfront accommodations. No matter how you vacation, Antigua’s beaches are integral to your experience.

Just like its history, the dining in Antigua is a colorful blend of the world’s flavors. Local fare is drawn from the Caribbean’s resources, with fresh fish complementing the local produce and prepared with an English flair. Major all inclusive resort areas in Antigua feature local cuisine as well as fabulous displays of Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican and Oriental dishes. Many of these elegant venues boast spectacular views of the sea and absorb guests in the island culture.

Your Antigua all inclusive vacation wouldn't be complete without experiencing the region's history, culture and scenery. Hike to the summit of Shirley Heights, where a breathtaking view of the island is mingled with historic gun emplacements and military buildings. Head to English Harbour for a glimpse into the glory of the British Navy during the great age of sail. Follow the white towers of St. John’s skyline to the St. John’s Cathedral, built in 1845. Or tour through the museum of Antigua and Barbuda for the complete story of the island’s geographical birth to its present day civilization. Every structure, hilltop and ancient ruin on this island is a secret waiting to be told.

Sports & Recreations

Naturally, the most desirable sports in Antigua revolve around the exotic shoreline. Well-preserved coral reefs, walls and shipwrecks outline the shore and welcome divers into an oasis of exploration. Just above the waves is a bustling community of sailboats, speedboats and yachts of every size. Boaters find the many secluded beaches of Antigua quite rewarding, and sportsmen can regularly be found in a yacht regatta or sailboat race. Traditional recreations enjoy the spice of Antigua’s landscape and can be found in or around the major resort areas. Breathtaking fairways, hard surface tennis courts and a myriad of on-site water sports meet thrill seekers of every age and aptitude.

Though known for its rugged terrain and untamed shoreline, Antigua still presents a striking nightlife within the major resort areas. Modern dance clubs and a host of bars fuel the evening while International tunes and calypso beats drive well into the morning hours. Travelers are advised to use extreme caution and common sense when venturing out in any foreign destination. Destination information is subject to change without prior notice.

Weddings & Honeymoons

Discover a new passion among the breathtaking shores and vibrant fauna of Antigua. Private beaches without footprints and elaborate 19th century cathedrals are just some of the romantic backdrops for exchanging vows. Many all inclusive Antigua resorts offer comprehensive wedding packages and are ready to assist in every detail of your unforgettable ceremony. Honeymooners will find the charms of Antigua to be a stirring commencement to a new life together. And mature couples will find renewed fervor for a blossoming romance.

The extensive archipelago of cays and islets attracted settlers to Antigua more than 4,000 years ago. The island is one of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean that became an independent state in 1981. Along the south-eastern coast is English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard, a restored British colonial naval station that draws visitors from all over the world.

When it comes to beaches, there are 365, one for each day of the year! And with all that surrounding water, it's no surprise that popular activities include sailing, sport fishing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. English Harbour and Falmouth are popular sailing destinations that bring sailing vessels and sailors to the island during the annual Antigua Sailing Week.

Sargassum/Seaweed Advisory

Sargassum is a free-floating seaweed that is especially prolific in the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. While beneficial to ocean life, these large free-floating seaweed mats often wash up on beaches. The amount of seaweed on the beaches fluctuates based on the time of year and ocean currents. While resorts do their best to maintain the beaches for their guests, you may experience some inconvenience during your stay.

A popular overseas destination that still offers a secluded atmosphere is the Caribbean . There are lots of all-inclusive resorts in Antigua and Barbuda, despite it being one of the smallest countries in the world.

Voted the “World’s Most Romantic Resort” year after year, adults-only hotel Sandals Grande Antigua is located on Antigua’s best and most famous beach, Dickenson Bay. Explore the Caribbean Beachfront Village, a charming seaside garden oasis graced by meandering pathways, majestic palms and cooling Trade winds.

Antigua and Barbuda is home to a whopping 365 beaches, making the island nation a wonderful place for couples to escape to. Whether it’s for a few days or several weeks, a romantic getaway gives you the opportunity to focus completely on your partner, rediscover why you fell in love, and explore each other all over again.

Traveling together is basically like being in a bubble. You’re shaken from your rut and relearn how to depend on one another, notice the small quirks, and make new memories that will last you a lifetime. Believe us when we say that the farther away the destination, the more exciting and memorable your holiday will be.

We’ve rounded up a list of 20 all-inclusive resorts in Antigua where couples can bond and have fun.

Sandals Grande Antigua

Location: Dickenson Bay

What we like: Ideal for active couples who want to try a bit of everything

Sandals Grande Antigua is one of the popular all-inclusive resorts in Antigua that’s perfect for couples who like to do stuff together. If your favorite motto is “try something new,” you’ll definitely enjoy your stay here. At your doorstep is the public beach just waiting for couples who want to go snorkeling, kayaking, or scuba diving. At night, you can enjoy drinks and dancing at the resort’s bar, holding your partner close without a care in the world.

Sandals also has options for active couples that prefer some privacy. Opt for the room with a private pool so you can nuzzle in the water alone whenever you fancy. Meals and activities are built into the room rates, so all you need to think about is how to soak up the picturesque scenes during your stay. You even get a stunning view of the sea from the restaurant, guaranteeing romantic meals from day one.

Being in one of the most scenic destinations in the world, you may also want to check out their all-inclusive honeymoon packages .

Jumby Bay Island

Location: Private island

What we like:  A secluded getaway

A surefire way to up the romance in a relationship is to go on a vacation where you feel you can leave your old life behind. Taking the trip to the private island where the Jumby Bay resort is located, you immediately feel a sense of freedom and adventure, with just your partner by your side and the prospect of a fancy holiday on the horizon.

Among the all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, we like how serene it is here. Stepping onto the pier, you’re greeted by manicured beaches and gardens complimenting the turquoise waters. We won’t blame you if you suddenly feel like a millionaire arriving in style at your private property. One thing we love is that the modern hotel doesn’t take away from the island’s natural beauty. Think of it as rustic chic.

Hawksbill Resort

Location: St. John’s

What we like: Nude beach

There’s no denying that for couples who want to reconnect and become closer together, being intimate is usually on the table. We’re listing Hawksbill as one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua because of its four beaches, one of which welcomes nude guests.

Just like in other clothing-optional resorts , here, you and your partner are free to sunbathe topless. There’s no need to worry about ogling eyes because this beach is situated at the end of the property, and the atmosphere is decent and respectful. It’s the perfect opportunity to show your partner some skin in a tasteful yet seductive way.

Hermitage Bay

Location: Hermitage Bay Beach

What we like: Foodie haven + hilltop views

Foodie couples will appreciate Hermitage Bay’s seasonal menu which changes every day. A lot of the ingredients they use are actually grown at the in-house garden and farm that guests can visit. This resort is ideal for couples who like to bond over new, exotic dishes and whose idea of a perfect date includes a delicious meal.

They make a lovely plate of fresh cockles with vegetables, as well as grilled fish. What sets this apart from other all-inclusive resorts in Antigua is the availability of vegetarian and vegan dishes. There’s an abundance of fruit, herbs, and a mix of local and international dishes on offer.

Meanwhile, suites are tucked away up the nearby hill, giving you an overview of the sea in the distance and the bright, peaceful sky. After attending cooking classes, couples can retire up here and swim in their private pool without any noise or distractions from the neighbors.

Hammock Cove

Location: St. Philip

What we like: Private pool in every room

When searching for all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, it’s important for couples to know their expectations before booking a spot. For guests who prefer to be laid back, Hammock Cove is a good choice because tranquility is guaranteed the moment you arrive. Because it’s a cove, the waters here are relatively calm, but you can still enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, or going on the hobie cat.

The beach is a bit smaller, but no less beautiful with fine sand and clear waters . Every room is equipped with its own private pool, and as a result, the beach is often quiet, allowing couples to enjoy some R&R in a peaceful and carefree setting. The resort is adults-only, so no worries about running into kids.

Carlisle Bay

Location: St. Mary

What we like: Lots of website discounts

If you’re looking for affordable all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, Carlisle Bay may be the right choice for you. Couples can browse through the offers on their website (they have an entire menu dedicated to discounts) and avail of packages that include the all-inclusive experience. This makes it possible for those with limited budgets to indulge without paying full price.

Expect views of lush, green hills on one side and endless, open water on the other. Here, you can take a leisurely stroll with your partner and enjoy the sound of birdsong. If you happen to make your way to the beach , they have tables and chairs set up in the area, so feel free to kick off your shoes and enjoy a meal while feeling the sand between your toes. It’s a family-friendly place, but far from being noisy or rowdy.

Curtain Bluff Resort

Location: Morris Bay

What we like: Two beaches, lots of sports offerings

Many all-inclusive resorts in Antigua include access to non-motorized sports equipment in their rates. But what’s great about this place is they also let you use the speedboat to go wakeboarding, waterskiing, and boat tubing. Because of this, Curtain Bluff is a good choice for couples who are fit and like to incorporate sports into their holiday routine.

We don’t need to remind you that adrenaline-filled activities with your partner are a great way to bond and become closer. You’re basically guaranteeing an exciting activity you can do as a couple every day while on vacation. Other sports you can try here are tennis, squash, basketball, and bocce. Combine this with spectacular views, amazing beaches, and delicious food for a memorable getaway.

Galley Bay Resort and Spa

Location: Five Islands Village

What we like: A green resort with wheelchair access

In making this list of the best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, we just had to include Galley Bay Resort and Spa for their commitment to being green as well as having accommodations with wheelchair access. The area is near a bird sanctuary, and they even have an on-site greenhouse. Rooms are also decorated using local materials for an exotic touch, taking away the cookie-cutter feel that other hotels usually have.

Music isn’t allowed at the pool, guaranteeing a relaxing and peaceful swim with your partner. If you prefer the beach, you can get a room that’s literally a few steps from the water. For couples who like to tan and lounge about, you’ll be glad to know that sunbeds are numbered, so you won’t have to worry about saving a seat every day.

Keyonna Beach Resort

Location: Turner’s Beach

What we like: Individual cottages as standard

Romance was definitely built into Keyonna Beach Resort, making it ideal for couples wanting to escape and have quality time together. They only offer individual cottages here for privacy, some of which are just a few steps away from the beach. While it has the creature comforts you usually find in all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, Keyonna has made it a point to maintain the rural, Caribbean atmosphere.

Cottages are mostly furnished in wood, including the outdoor rainfall shower. Instead of a concrete jungle, they have hedges, coconuts, and flowery shrubs. The resort’s layout allows you to enjoy the area’s natural beauty, from the hills in the back to the gentle waves on the white sand.

Blue Waters Resort and Spa

Location: Soldier’s Bay

What we like: Live in the lap of luxury

Sometimes, half the battle of sparking intimacy with your partner is being in the right location. With its high-end feel, Blue Waters Resorts and Spa instantly makes you feel special and in the mood for romance. Unlike other all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, guests here can choose whether or not they want to avail of the all-inclusive meal plan with activities. We recommend that you do so to make your holiday much easier.

Here, they’ve taken the time to plant many trees and flowers in the area, turning the resort into a gorgeous garden facing the open water. You get panoramic views of the sea and are spoiled day and night by their staff. The place is done in a clean and simple high-end style . Grab your underwater camera and keep an eye out for the pelicans and sting rays by the bay. For the ultimate VIP experience, you can rent an entire cottage at the tip of the resort right by the water.

Escape at Nonsuch Bay

Location: Hughes Point

What we like: Plunge pool in every room

Safely tucked inside Nonsuch Bay, this is one of the best all-inclusive adults-only resorts in Antigua for couples who might feel a bit overwhelmed when faced with an open sea. Here, your view will be bordered by rolling hills under a sunny, clear sky. Still, it only takes moments for you to make your way down the wooden path among lush foliage all the way to the beach.

The land borders make the water calm and perfect for a leisurely dip. For an added fee, you can enjoy floating meals at your room’s plunge pool , instantly dialing up the romance.

Location: Valley Church Beach

What we like: Low-key adults-only resort for honeymooners

COCOS Hotel offers all-inclusive honeymoon packages that are great for newlyweds looking for an exotic and fun destination. Individual cottages are built on a rocky hill, giving you elevated views of the crystal-clear water below. The winding paths make this rustic, low-key resort ideal for couples in the mood for intimacy. It’s an adults only resort with nightly entertainment but no bar, in keeping with the peaceful ambiance.

Honeymooners may do well to take advantage of the resort’s website offers and look forward to gazing lazily in the water while having a romantic meal in the restaurant.

Royalton Antigua

What we like: lively party vibe + in-room wifi.

It’s quite common for all-inclusive resorts in Antigua not to offer WiFi in their hotel rooms. Fortunately for guests who find it essential to keep connected, suites at the Royalton Antigua have WiFi. The entire resort has a hip and modern feel, with big pools and a wide, spacious beach.

Speaking of hip, this is the place to be for couples who like to party. You can meet new friends at the pool bar and enjoy the foam party when you’ve had your share of kayaking.

St. James’ Club Antigua

Location: Mamora Bay

What we like: Two beaches + multiple pools

Not many all-inclusive resorts in Antigua can boast of having two beaches on their property. For couples who enjoy the water a lot and like to mix it up, St. James is a good choice. At Mamora Bay, the wide, serene beach is calmer and perfect for cuddling and lounging. On the other side of the resort at Coco Beach, you will find the water kissing the sky off in the distance in different shades of blue.

Keep in mind that guests will still need to pay a fee if they choose to eat at the resort’s fine dining restaurant, even if they’re on the all-inclusive plan.

The Inn at English Harbour

Location: Freeman’s Bay

What we like: Solitude in paradise

We think The Inn is one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua because it has its own beach. This makes it ideal for couples to wind down and bond together. Part of the resort is also on a hill. Thanks to its unique location, guests can go on a walk and enjoy stunning views of boats below.

The waters are pristine and if you’re in luck, you might even meet a turtle during your swim. And for those who dislike small quarters, you’ll be glad to know that some of the suites here are bigger than entire apartments.

It’s good to remember that for couples who like to eat a lot throughout the day, The Inn only offers breakfast with a choice of lunch or dinner if you avail of the all-inclusive plan.

Cocobay Resort

Location: Ffryes Bay

What we like:  Discount for honeymooners

If you’re on the hunt for all-inclusive honeymoon packages in Antigua, you’ll be pleased to know that Cocobay Resort offers discounts to weddings and those on their honeymoon . You and your partner are guaranteed some quality time in the cottages built separately on the hill. Hang out on the balcony and enjoy the tropical breeze and amazing views.

Couples can catch the sunrise before indulging in a day of sun, sand, and massages. You can also avail of the Romance Combo and get floating pool meals that are sumptuous and hard to resist. Overall, Cocobay is a nice place to chill with excellent staff. Oh, and don’t forget to try the outdoor tub.

Ocean Point Resort and Spa

Location: St. John’s

What we like: Close to the airport and other businesses

Like other all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, Ocean Point has multiple beaches for guests to choose from. That being said, the beaches here are smaller but charming, with a relaxed atmosphere. Introverted couples will definitely enjoy their stay, biding the time while watching coconut trees dance in the air.

Take note that this is an adults-only resort as well, which makes it perfect for couples that aren’t used to being around children. For couples that don’t enjoy long journeys, Ocean Point is just a few minutes from the airport and is situated just a stone’s throw away from other shops and restaurants.

Jolly Beach

Location: Jolly Harbour

What we like: Affordable beauty

Jolly Beach is one of the larger all-inclusive resorts you can find in Antigua. Turquoise waters with lively fish and sea turtles await the guests here. The white beach is long and wide, with plenty of room for everyone. Don’t be fooled by the big buildings on the property because once you get in the water, you’ll have an unspoiled view of the sea right in front of you. If saltwater isn’t your thing, you and your partner can dip in the huge swimming pools with fountains.

Jolly Beach is among the affordable all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, with manicured grounds and attentive staff. We’re really glad it has reopened after temporarily closing during the pandemic.

Pineapple Beach Club

Location: Long Bay Beach

What we like:  Basic and affordable

For couples on a limited budget, Pineapple Beach Club is one of the more affordable, all-inclusive resorts you can find in Antigua. For a trip to the Caribbean, this is the basic, comfortable hotel you can book for a romantic holiday. Enjoy warm Caribbean waters and a picture-perfect sunset with your partner.

During the day, you can swim or snorkel to your heart’s content or try one of their freshwater pools, one of which has a mini waterfall. Here, you can step back from the bustling city life without feeling cut off from civilization.

The Verandah

Location: St. Philip’s

What we like: Recently upgraded facilities

With so many all-inclusive resorts in Antigua, sometimes it can be hard to decide which one to choose. We think this is the best time to visit The Verandah because the place reopened in November 2022.

Couples will definitely enjoy their alone time in clean, upgraded, spacious rooms. It’s an adults-only hotel too, which helps in setting the mood for romance. The views are stunning, and you can look forward to people lazily floating in the calm waters. Couples who like the beach setting but aren’t good swimmers will definitely have a fun time here.  Hot tip: try the beer made from their in-house brewery.

More All-Inclusive Overwater Bungalows Are Coming to Antigua

Blue Diamond Resorts is adding more overwater bungalows on the island of Antigua, with the imminent debut of its Royalton CHIC Antigua resort.

The property, which has pegged late April for its debut, will have a collection of 12 “overwater suites,” joining the six overwater bungalows at its sister resort, the Royalton Antigua, which opened back in 2019.

The new suites at the adults-only all-inclusive will come in three categories: chairman, presidential or junior suite.

The suites will include the presidential overwater bungalow, a 1,912-square-foot one-bedroom with a glass floor for in-ocean views. That’s along with a 1,138-square-foot luxury junior suite, with a private terrace, a plunge pool and direct ocean access.

The biggest unit will be a two-bedroom suite, with two rooms, two separate plunge pools and overwater hammocks.

“This is a milestone, not only for Blue Diamond Resorts but also for the All-Inclusive industry and the island of Antigua,” said Jordi Pelfort, President of Blue Diamond Resorts. “We have proven to ourselves and our guests that our All-Inclusive offering continues to provide unique experiences. We strongly believe that the addition of these Overwater Suites to the upcoming Royalton CHIC Antigua will make this resort one of a kind in the region.”

Guests at the overwater suites will get automatic Diamond Club access, including personal butler service.

Luckily, if you live in the New York City or Boston area, there are discounted flights available now. From New York, availability stretches all the way until November, so your travel dates can be flexible.

Still, you should try to book in the next few weeks before prices increase or seats get taken.

Deal basics

Airlines : American Airlines, United Airlines and others

Routes : Boston, Newark and New York City to Antigua and Barbuda

How to book : Browse Google Flights and book directly through the airline

Travel dates : February and March from Boston; yearlong availability from Newark and New York City

Book by : As soon as you can

Special thanks to Going , formerly known as Scott's Cheap Flights, for scouting these deals. For $49 a year, the site's Premium membership offers discounts of up to 90% and comes with a 14-day free trial. The Elite membership also finds premium economy, business-class and first-class deals.

Sample flights

American offers nonstop flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to VC Bird International Airport (ANU) in Antigua.

Flight options are for travel starting in February, and at the time of writing, there was similar availability all the way until November.

These prices apply to American's basic economy class, which includes a carry-on bag each way.

There is similar availability on flights from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). However, many flights from those airports will have a layover each way.

If you're set on a nonstop flight, there's a United option from Newark. Keep in mind that carry-on bags are not included with United's basic economy fare, so you'll pay $35 extra each way to check a bag.

As mentioned above, there are also some flight options from Boston. However, those flights are a bit more expensive, and availability only lasts through March.

Maximize your purchase

Don't forget to use a credit card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, such as:

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred Card : 2 points per dollar spent on travel
  • American Express® Gold Card : 3 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly through the airline or American Express Travel
  • The Platinum Card® from American Express : 5 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly through the airline or American Express Travel (on up to $500,000 of these purchases per calendar year, then 1 point per dollar)
  • Citi Premier® Card (see rates and fees ): 3 points per dollar spent on airfare
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve : 3 points per dollar spent on airfare

Bottom line

If you're interested in visiting Antigua and Barbuda from the New York City area, you have plenty of options to choose from. There is availability all year for both nonstop and connecting flights from the three major area airports on various airlines. The availability is greatest with American, so American Airlines AAdvantage members can benefit most.

From Caribbean getaways to European vacations, consider these five destinations for the ultimate reset for your mind, body and soul.

Settle into a slice of sun-kissed paradise at the thoughtfully designed Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort . Tucked away on 100 acres (40.4 hectares) of pristine Mayan coastline, it’s the ideal getaway for travelers seeking wellness through relaxation and quality cuisine. Plus, with eight restaurants and multiple pools , guests of all ages are sure to be entertained and well-fed. Savor fresh flavors at Maxal , which offers authentic Mexican dishes and traditional sauces. Expand your mind and body by exploring the resort’s lineup of activities including cooking classes, yoga classes and nightly dancing. Save time for self-care at the spa , where indulgent body wraps feature traditional Mexican healing herbs to add an extra layer of relaxation.

Mugla, Turkey

Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Dalaman River, Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa sets the scene for a self-care getaway that’s both restorative and active. The stunning bike-friendly property offers special nutrition menus on the Turkish Riviera includes 10 pools and also features 14 dining experiences. Explore the tranquil two-story Elysion Spa , which features a traditional Turkish bath, 18 treatment rooms, a steam room, relaxation pool and more, or spend the day lounging in a private waterfront gazebo on the resort’s private beach. Revive your mind and body at the sleek yoga pavilion, hit the bullseye in archery, book a sailing lesson or play a game of beach volleyball. For lunch, try the seaside barbecue at the popular Vento Bistro & Bar , then let the evening unfold at the Rouge Roof Bar, which offers cocktails with striking views of the surrounding area.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Allow Jamaica’s laid-back charm to wash over you at Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa , which spans 400 acres (162 hectares) overlooking the Caribbean coast. Relax at the resort’s two pools (complete with poolside concierges), on a lazy river or at one of the island's largest waterparks before venturing onto the pristine white-sand beach, where you can paddle along the shore in a kayak or sail on a catamaran. All rooms feature a private balcony or terrace, so the idyllic and calming views — whether of the ocean or lush gardens — are never far away. Visit Radiant Spa for a lavender-infused Sweet Slumber Massage, a Himalayan Salt Stone Massage, which uses heated stones or, for a more locally inspired experience, book the Jamaican Herbal Massage. For dinner, head to Three Palms , the resort’s Italian eatery with an extensive dinner menu and golf course views.

Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Whether you’re waking up after a restful sleep in your private swim-up suite or indulging in a couple’s massage overlooking the water, your next holistic wellness retreat can be all about unwinding by the sea at Hilton Playa del Carmen, an All-Inclusive Adult Only Resort . Kickstart your day with a reviving morning yoga session, tap into local healing traditions with a purifying ritual in a Temazcal ceremony at Innan Spa or engage in a friendly tennis match at the resort's rooftop court. The 13 on-site dining options cater to every taste, from tropical smoothies and vegan options at Barefoot to the Caribbean fusion cuisine at Pelicanos. Best of all, the resort’s 24-hour room service means you can easily satisfy any late-night cravings, too.

La Romana, Dominican Republic

Tucked away on the Dominican Republic’s southeastern coast, Hilton La Romana, an All-Inclusive Adult Only Resort makes for the quintessential holistic retreat. Plan a visit to the stunning Drift Away Spa for a hydrotherapy session or have the spa concierge arrange for a personalized treatment in the oceanfront palapa. Signature wellness treatments include massages using oil infused with Mamajuana, a local drink made with rum, red wine, honey and herbs. Located just minutes away from the breathtaking Bayahibe Beach, the resort’s private stretch of sand and sea is the perfect place to unwind with a cocktail or fresh juice in hand before fueling your wellness retreat with fresh, gourmet seafood at Mare Grill & Restaurant .

All-inclusive resorts make curating the ideal wellness-focused getaway seamless and fun. So, whether you’re looking to chill out on pristine beaches , soak in some rest and relaxation at the spa or get your adrenaline pumping by discovering a new hobby, an all-inclusive vacation makes realizing your perfect self-care trip a breeze.
